Hot Toddy Single Cocktail Recipe-
2 oz of Monkey Shoulder
¼ oz of Demerara Simple Syrup (more or less to taste) start with ¼ and then add a bit more if you’d like it sweeter.
4 oz of Water just off the boil
Express a lemon twist over the glass and drop the peel in the drink
How To Make Single Cocktail
You’re going to build the drink in the glass. First add the Monkey Shoulder and then the simple syrup. Stir to incorporate. Then add hot water and stir again. Express the lemon peel and then drop in the drink. Enjoy.
Hot Toddy Batch Cocktail Recipe- This recipe makes enough for 10 people
1 Bottle of Monkey Shoulder Scotch (you could always use your favorite bourbon)
5 oz Demerara Simple Syrup (make the batch cocktail a bit sweeter)
40 oz of warm water (it will keep in the slow cooker)
Lemon peels for garnish (adding this to the batch may make the drink bitter)
How To Make for a Party-
If you wanted to make these for a party there are several ways that you could easily pull this off for a large group. The easiest would be to make the entire recipe by multiplying the amount of ingredients by the number of drinks you’d like to make and then putting the entire batch in a slow cooker on medium heat. Put lemon peels on the side for guests to add their own.
Eggnog Single Cocktail Recipe-
2 oz of bourbon (we’re using Buffalo Trace
¼ cup of heavy cream
¼ cup of whole milk
One whole Egg
.5 oz of Demerara Simple Syrup (may need to add more to taste)
Small pinch of salt
Ground Nutmeg (for garnish)
Ground Cinnamon (for garnish)
Ground Clove (for garnish)
How To Make Single Cocktail-
Dry shake (without ice) the first 6 ingredients to incorporate. Then add several large pieces of ice. Shake well to really froth the mixture. Strain the mixture with a Hawthorne strainer into your glass of choice. Sprinkle your desired amount of spices over the top.
Eggnog Batch Cocktail Recipe-
1 Bottle of Monkey Shoulder Scotch (you could always use your favorite bourbon)
1 Pint of Heavy Cream
1 Pint of Whole Milk
10 Whole Eggs
2 large pinches of salt
5 oz of Demerara Simple Syrup
Ground Nutmeg (for garnish)
Ground Cinnamon (for garnish)
Ground Clove (for garnish)
How To Make for a Party-
This batch made recipe is best done with a stand mixer or hand mixer. Trying to shake all of these ingredients together would be quite difficult. Mix all ingredients with mixer by slowly increasing the speed from slow to high. You want to build up a good froth here. Chill mixture in the either the mixing or serving bowl. Sprinkle your desired amount of spices over the top of the serving bowl and arrange them on the side for guests to add more if they’d like.
